Who doesn’t love the beach? I always loved the movies of the 60′s, like Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation, where the family piled into a station wagon and headed to a dilapidated beach house for the summer. Lots of high jinks and teenage summer romances usually followed. Beachfront vacation homes have always appealed to me. Not many of us can buy a house on the beach, but there are plenty for rent all over the country. Just pick a beach on either coast and you’re sure to find something in your price range. Florida is the natural choice of many people up here in the frozen north. My personal choice would be on the Georgia coast. Jekyll Island, St. Simon’s and Sea Island all have homes for rent. Sea Island is way out of my price range, but St. Simon’s and Jekyll are beautiful. The prices in many lesser known coastal towns are probably lower and no less lovely. NewVacationHomeIdeas.com
